MIKE BILBREY: We handle exclusively personal injury cases. And the overwhelming majority of those would be mesothelioma or asbestos cases, lung cancer and mesothelioma. We don't handle a large case load. We average probably 20 to 24 cases a year in the area of mesothelioma and therefore we're able to concentrate on those cases and the investigation that's needed for each individual case.
Clients of ours who have mesothelioma are very ill and so therefore we try to make it most comfortable for them when we're taking a deposition, which is foreign to them in the first place. So we try to do it at their home so they have their family there, they have the support and sometimes nurses on staff and it's the best situation for our clients.
If they're going to trial and it's in our county, which most of them are, then they actually stay at my house, my bed and breakfast, with us. They're in a special suite that we have. It has a wheelchair ramp, their own private bedroom. They have a kitchen. And so their family actually stays with them and we're able to work with the while they're in my house.
The people we represent, the overwhelming majority are, are working men and women, like my mom and dad. And to help those people get through these really tough times is the most rewarding thing you can ever think of.
